Achieve wound closure.
Restore new skin tissue to a level that closely
matches original skin tissue integrity.
Assist the body's natural wound healing processes.
Manage and control wound bed interferences.
Establish and maintain a moist, clean, and
biologically active wound environment.
Follow care plans specific to the patient
and to relevant standards of care.

Application
Utilization Steps
1. Gently irrigate with sterile water or
saline until free of debris toprepare the wound bed.
2. Apply topical medication, if ordered,
as directed to the wound bed.
3. Apply Medifil or SkinTemp according
to recommended guidelines.
4. Use appropriate secondary dressing
as dictated by wound status (depth,exudate, etc.).
5. Always maintain a moist, but not wet,
wound environment.
6. Remove and reapply Medifil or SkinTemp
as directed.
Normal Clinical
Observations
An increase in drainage may occur during
the first few days of treatment.
Wounds may appear larger during the initial
days of treatment due to the reduction of edema and removal of necrotic
tissue and, or slough.
